The Kalmar Load Measurement System can be fitted to Kalmar reachstackers, rubber-tyred gantry cranes and straddle carriers to provide you with an accurate measurement of the verified gross mass (VGM) of the load being handled.
Fast, accurate SOLAS-compliant load measurement.
The system is quick and easy to install, meaning minimal downtime for your equipment. The accuracy of the measurement data has been certified by an independent third party to guarantee compliance with the new weight verification requirements set by the International Maritime Organization's Safety of Life At Sea (SOLAS) Convention. According to the requirements introduced in July 2016, shippers must record the VGM of every container being loaded on board a ship using calibrated and certified equipment.

How does it work?
The VGM of the load is taken from the equipment's weighing system and can either be sent to a printer in the cabin or via the cloud to an external reporting system such as your terminal operating system.
